On July 16, JARTA, co-organized and co-sponsored with the Regional Tourism Research Institute, held the Kumamoto Forum titled "Progress Report & Forum on Sustainable Tourism Destination Management in Kumamoto," aimed at local government and DMO representatives, tourism businesses, and more. Held in Kumamoto just after the "Global Nature Positive Summit," participants learned about the future direction of sustainable tourism destination management.

Part 2: Workshop — Considering Roadmaps and Actions for the Future of Our Communities
Participants came together to think about a roadmap for "independent community building" centered on sustainable tourism destination management, as well as concrete actions that can be implemented starting tomorrow. They split into five groups—"Local Government/Administration," "Visitors," "Tourism Businesses," "Local Residents," and "DMO/Tourism Association"—to exchange views on the respective roles and potential contributions within tourism destinations.
