Thank you for your continued support of the Japan Alliance of Responsible Travel Agencies (JARTA).
We are thrilled to announce that ourofficial website has been fully renewedto make JARTA's initiatives easier to view and understand!
With this renewal, we have made various updates so that specialized concepts of sustainable tourism feel more accessible to everyone.
Key Highlights of the Renewal
1. Enhanced Visuals with Illustrations and Photos
To dispel the image that "sustainable tourism and international certifications are a bit difficult," we have incorporated plenty of illustrations and photos throughout our articles. The design has been revamped so that anyone, from the general public to professionals, can enjoy a visually engaging and intuitive experience.

2. Introducing JARTA's New Vision and Philosophy (Statement)
We have published a new statement clearly outlining the future we aim for and our raison d'être. It highlights the passion behind JARTA's activities, ensuring tourism is not just "consumption," but a form of "community stewardship" that protects local treasures and passes them down to the next generation.

3. Newly Established "JARTA Programs" Page
We have created a dedicated program list page covering the diverse initiatives undertaken by JARTA.
At the core of these efforts is the tourism management approach focusing on "Points, Lines, and Areas":
- Points (Businesses): Raising awareness and integrating everyone involved in tourism, such as accommodations, dining, and experiences.
- Lines (Travel Agencies): Building processes that properly connect valuable, scattered "points" into a travel story (itinerary).
- Areas (Regions & Governments): Establishing strong governance where the entire region manages tourism collaboratively rather than leaving it to a select few.
We also provide easy-to-understand explanations of the ""importance of education" and activities fostering "touristship"that support these pillars.

4. Unified Explanation Pages for Each Certification Scheme
We have reorganized explanations for world-standard international certification schemes such as Green Key, Blue Flag, and Travelife into unified, easy-to-understand pages designed for the general public to grasp smoothly.
At a time when the environment surrounding tourism is facing a major turning point, JARTA continues to spread the message about the importance of sustainable tourism destination management and "community stewardship."
We hope our newly redesigned website deepens your understanding of our activities and sustainable tourism. Please take a look around the new site!
