Information Regarding Green Key Program Fees
Regarding Fees for the Green Key Program Due to the new Green Key standards and changes to the certification process taking effect on October 1, 2026, the fees will also be revised. This is because ①JARTA, which operates the Green Key program, and ② the certification body, which conducts audits and final determinations, will each charge fees incurred for their respective operational activities.

Fees are charged according to the status of registration, certification acquisition, and certification maintenance:
- Administrative registration fee: A fee paid byfacilities working toward Green Key for the first time.It is charged annually until certification is obtained, but is no longer incurred after certification is achieved.
- When?: At the time of registration
- How much?: 55,000 JPY (tax included)
- Participation Fee: A fee paid byfacilities applying for Green Key certification. The participation fee occurs at the time of initial certification application. After obtaining certification, an annual membership fee replaces the participation fee each year.
- When?: At the time of application for the certification audit
- How much?: Please refer to the fee schedule
- Annual Membership Fees: A fee paid by: A fee incurred by facilities that have obtained Green Key certificationto continue and renew their valid certification period. Certification is valid for two years, but annual membership fees are incurred every year to maintain certification. When Green Key certification is obtained for the first time, a discount is applied only for the following yearas a celebration benefit.
- When?: Annually, in alignment with the renewal period after obtaining Green Key

- What is the celebration benefit?：55,000 JPY will be deducted from the following year's annual membership fee after obtaining initial certification.
Billing and Payment
When applying for a Green Key audit, applicants must submit necessary documents such as the application form and certification agreement, and pay the participation fee or annual membership fee in advance.
The certification body will begin reviewing the application documents after the payment of the participation fee or annual membership fee has been completed.
After obtaining Green Key certification, annual membership fees must be paid every year during the validity period, regardless of whether an audit is conducted.
Notes
Green Key participation fees and annual membership fees are non-refundable, including in the following cases:
- If certification is not obtained (unsuccessful)
- Suspension of certification (temporary suspension of certification display)
- Revocation of certification
- Termination of certification (expiration or withdrawal)
